CULTURAL

Variety of cultural programmes are organised throughout the year that involves Dance, drama, song, playing musical instruments etc. Every student is being motivated to participate in such cultural programme to display his/her hidden talent. Moreover, on Guru-Parv, shabad and path are also organised.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES(CCA)

For the all round development of the children, Co-curricular activities should be there, therefore extra curricular and co-curricular activities are inducted in the school curriculum. These activities play vital role in the holistic development of the child. SGNPS offers a wide range of CCA activities that include creative writing, paper recycling, English and Hindi elocution contest, Debate, Dramatics, Quiz club, Science Club, Eco Club, Literary and Creative Club, Dance Club, Poster and Slogan Competition, Mehndi and Rangoli Competition, Salad Making competition, Musical Workshops, Art and Craft classes, Essay writing on Burning topics, Working models on Science, Maths and Computers, Disaster Management, Models on democratic form of Government.

Once in a year, Art and Craft and science exhibitions are organised to exhibit the talent of the students. Time to time, more new activities are being added up, keeping in view the student’s interests and needs in mind.

SPORTS AND GAMES

Sports are necessary for the children to make them mentally and physically fit and fine for their overall growth. It is compulsory for all students, unless excused on medical grounds. Three full time physical instructors are there to supervise the students in sports and games. Every year, Annual Sports meet is organized on 10-12th October so that students can show their calibre in sports and to show their expertise skills in various activities such as relay race, slow cycling, shot put , long jump, high jump, tug of peace, March past, carnival etc.

Prizes and certificates are also being awarded to the winners and participants respectively.

COMMUNITY SERVICES

Various programmes on community services are designed for the welfare of the community. Number of workshops are organized to remove the darkness of illiteracy, importance of health in growing children. Time to time voluntarily blood donation camps are also being organised at school campus so that school staff and parents of the school children can be encouraged to come forward for the noble cause by donating their blood and to save three valuable lives of the community.

Further more, students are being motivated to visit old age homes, educating the community on waste management, campus cleanliness, campus gardening, tree planting, paper recycling etc.
